2008 Bridgewater Badger Mascot Rules and Application
- Parents must complete an application if they are interested in having their daughter become a mascot. The board will choose the mascots by lottery each year. Mascots will be chosen for the PeeWee and Midget squads only. All forms must be in by April 25th. The board will contact you if your child is chosen.
- Please drop off application during tryout week at Williams Middle School or email to Sue Colby @ colbyks1@verizon.net. You may also print out and mail the application to Sue Colby, 180 Union Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324
- Mascots must a current first grader (entering 2nd grade when the season begins in September) and there will be no more than 2 per squad.
- Mascots may attend practices and participate in the practices when the girls are learning sidelines.
- Mascots are allowed at the practices and games only if a parent is with them. Mascots can not be dropped off or left unattended.
- Mascots will not participate in the half time routine.
- Mascots can participate in all sideline cheers during all games.
- Mascots will not be given uniforms. The Board will do its best to have inexpensive uniforms for you to purchase if your daughter is chosen in the lottery.
- Mascots will attend the fitting on May 1st - approximate cost for uniform is $25.
- All parents of mascots must sign a medical information/release form and a Waiver and Release of Liability form in order for your child to participate.
- Parents or Guardians of mascots, agree not to hold The Cheerleading Board, the Cheerleading Organization, Advisors or Coaches responsible for any injury that their daughter incurs while participating in the sport.
By signing below, I have read and understand the rules and what is expected of me as a parent of a mascot and I give my daughter permission to participate if chosen in lottery.
