All Registrations will be held at the Bridgewater Mitchell at the Middle School Gym.  Fee for Registration is $285 (more info under If my child makes a squad) We will have 3 Cheer Squads and a possible Pep Squad (depending on the amount of girls who register).

Cheer Cheerleaders who were on the Cheer squads last year will automatically make the cheer squad for the 2019 Season. All other girls signing up and registering; their squad placement will be decided after camp. Cheer or Pep will be chosen upon grade, ability, attendance, and sportsmanship.

All girls signing up must attend cheer camp in August to be eligible for the cheer squad. If possible, depending on parent volunteer, ALL squads (including Pep) will compete this year. Competition routines will be uploaded to our web site at a later date for all girls to learn.

Competition date is November 9, 2019.

Squads will cheer for the Bridgewater Badger Football Organization. Game times and locations are determined by the football league and ARE subject to change throughout the season. Attendance is required at all games.

Is there a parent information meeting

Yes Time and Place will be announced at a later date.

We realize everybody is busy with work, sports and other extra circular activities so at time of registration we decided to send an information email to all parents. It will go over rules and regulations and answer any questions you might have to make sure, as parents, you understand the commitment you are undertaking.  If there is something we missed or if you have any questions please discuss at parents meeting (TBA)

Board members wil be present at sign-up/registration day to answer all questions.

Who has to tryout?

We understand that tryouts CAN be stressful for both children and parents.  All girls make  a squad without trying out. Returning 2019 Bridgewater  Cheerleaders on the cheer squads automatically make the cheer this season. All other cheerleaders will have their team decided after camp. Squads chosen will depend on grade, ability, attendance, and sportsmanship. Cheerleading is a team sport and the number on each squad is limited. ALL teams  (cheer and pep) may compete at the New England Cheer Competition depending on parent volunteer. We need parent advisors to help with practices, games and competition. A team cannot compete without parent advisors.

Do I need to register and give permission for my child participate?

YES. All girls registering must register on the Bridgewater Badger Cheer website first.  NO ONE will be able to cheer without registering on the website (www.badgerscheer.com). Click on the register online tab and follow the prompts.

How do I know if my child makes a team?

Each child will make a team.  The squads will be listed by names on the Badgers Cheerleading Website (www.badgerscheer.com) on Friday, August 23rd If there is under 25 girls registering for a cheer team each girl will automatically make that cheer squad.

Are there Cheerleading Rules and Regulations?

YES.  Please review carefully as they will be strictly adhered to.  If you feel your family can not abide by the Rules and Regulations posted on the website, including the vacation policy, please think carefully about having your daughter participate for the 2019 season.

If my child makes a squad, what is next?

If your child makes a squad, the cost for registration is $285 due at sign-ups (dates above for all teams depending on grade). Registration is due on sign-up day. If you need more time to pay or wish to make payments there will be a $25 late fee. Final payment for Registration is due by June 14.

How much is Apparel and when will I receive it?

Apparel fitting for Cheerleading attire (practice shirt, sneakers, bodysuit, wind suit, socks, pom-palms, etc) will be held on Tuesday April 23rd from 4-6 at Bridgewater Middle School. The cost is usually about $275-$300 for first time cheerleaders. You keep all apparel you purchase and can reuse most items the following Cheer seasons. Cheer and Pep will all receive the same apparel. All your items will be delivered  6-8 weeks later. If you do not pay for your items in full we can not guarantee your delivery in time for first practice. In the past we have held our orders for parents who needed more time to pay. We are putting orders in immediately for all parents who pay week of fittings. This way clothing will arrive in a timely manner.

What is expected of me as a parent?

Parents are expected to provide transportation for their children to all practices and games and ensure the girls arrive on time and in proper attire.  In addition, parents should be aware that the cheerleading program is run by volunteers and self-funded.  Parents are expected to chaperone at least one of the cheerleading dances, and volunteer to work the apparel booth during one game.  Parents who do not wish to help with our fundraising efforts may make a one-time donation of $50 in lieu of helping out.  If you wish to do so, please include this donation along with your

registration fee during uniform fittings.

When do mandatory practices begin/end?

Practices begin the week of August 5th and Camp begins the week of August 12, 2019

How can I become an advisor?

When you register your daughter for tryouts and the season, please check the appropriate boxes and answer the advisor questions.
